Cia Mútua was founded in March 1993, in the city of Joaçaba, mid-west of Santa Catarina and has been based in Itajaí/SC since 2007. Since 2002, he has been researching animation theater, producing and presenting shows and developing training and promotion projects in the area.
During these years, 31 theatrical productions premiered, including A História de Willians (2002-2004), Happily Ever After (2005-2018), Flashes of Life (2009-2018), Exílios (2015-2017), among others. It maintains in its repertoire the following shows: Le Cirque de Pulgué (2022), Mãe Rua (2022), Borboleta (2022), Contesdados (2019), El Gran Circo-Teatro de Luvas (2015), Um Príncipe Chamado Exupéry (2010), Teatro Lambe-lambe (2005) and A Caixa (2004). His shows toured 19 Brazilian states, Argentina, Chile and France, receiving 19 national and international awards, including the CBTIJ Award for Best Animated Theater Show, with Um Príncipe Chamado Exupéry, in 2016.
Since 2017, it has been promoting the Bonencontro – Santa Catarina Puppet Theater Meeting in the city of Itajaí, which is already in its fourth edition.
